Curb appeal is huge.  Take the time to tend to the outside of your house.  Invest in perennials that give back year after year.  Splurge on nice pots and annuals. Treat yourself to outdoor furniture.  If you don't have a lot of money, buy used furniture and paint or stain it. Have fun! Be creative with old boots and things to use as planters.  Don't be afraid of a little bit of whimsy.  Your yard, your terrace, your big or little patch of land should make you smile.
