Mollie's Room
It's not always easy for a mom to see eye to eye with her
11 year old daughter.  But when I asked Mollie what colors
and style she was interested in for her new room, we were
totally in sync. She wanted aqua and underwater theme
(what is it with my girls and their themes?) I could handle
aqua, tho.

Our quest for an awesome room began with the chairs.  I
was driving along and saw that these perfectly great chairs
had been generously left on the curb with a big FREE sign.
 That's my favorite price!
Mollie loves turquoise and aqua.  Everything has to be aqua or turquoise! I had used this fun Octopoda fabric for my
friend Lee's beach house and was dying to use it in my own house.  Mollie was 100% on board and the deal was sealed
when I reupholstered the chairs.  We were initially going to try to mix it up with another fabric for the shades, but we
literally could not get enough of it!  Mollie saw the capiz shell chandelier in pottery barn teen and had to have it.  I
purchased two duvets that we will alternate.  This one is Designer's Guild.  The room is painted Benjamin Moore's
Jamaican Aqua.
