Olympia's Room

Olympia painted her room four different
colors and then called me for help.  I
was worried, however relieved when I
saw that all the shades were very pretty
and pastel.  She was sure she wanted
polka dots, so we were psyched to find
this dot fabric with all the right shades of
lavender, green and blue for her shades.
Olympia wanted to keep her pretty flowing sheers, but I
suggested dressing them up a little bit with some
decorative hardware and some pop pom trim.  We totally
agreed on Pottery Barn Teen for the bedding and brought
some more white pom poms into the mix with the duvet.
Her mom bought her a beautiful new sleigh bed and we
were good to go.
I am going to do a simple taylored bedskirt that will
give the bed a more finished look and tie everything
together. I am also suggesting to mom that she
replace the ceiling fan with a PB Teen chandelier to
compliment the chandelier finals on the curtain
hardware and to add a finishing touch.
What is nice about the roman
shades is that they can go up or
all the way down depending on
what Olympia needs for privacy,
sun protection or a full view.
